1001 Positively True Stories of An Indie Filmmaker

Angelo Bell's Painfully Exhilarating Adventures in Independent Filmmaking

RebFest – A Revolution in Independent Film Screening and Distribution

March 18th, 2009 by Angelo

I’m submitting a couple of shorts to RebFest. Rebfest is an online film festival (or shorts) created by writer/director John Bosley. What is RebFest:

What is Rebfest?

Rebfest Online Film Festival is a “REBEL” film festival.  We categorize our film festival this way because:

  • There are NO ENTRY FEES to enter your film into Rebfest.
  • There are NO TICKET COSTS to view the films.
  • Rebfest is designed to SHOWCASE EMERGING TALENT; there is no winner and/or prize.
  • Rebfest designates ONE WEBPAGE FOR EACH FILM.  Each film’s page includes space for a biography, about the making of the film, a synopsis of the film, any future projects, pictures, teaser trailers, film posters, and links to contact the filmmaker and/or buy the DVD online (if applicable).
  • Unlike other online film festivals, Rebfest is ONLY ONE WEEK LONG.  The representative of each entered film decideswhen the film is run online.  (Choosing from the dates available.)
My package gets mailed off tomorrow. The Two films I’m submitting are: Renounced and Broken Hearts Club (the short film version) Watch the trailers here:

Wish me luck :-)
