Resurrection of Serious Rogers
As you may know, I’ve been working on a DVD release of “The Resurrection of Serious Rogers” since January. Production problems have resulted in the continued delay of the film but now things are underway again. But things have changed.
I spent the better part of two days rewriting the script I need to bring together in cohesive fashion the elements of five short films into one. I had to rewrite the narrative thread. I’ve changed certain elements and now it’s ready to go. I’ve written out the “male” lead and written in a “female” lead and my search has begun for a new talent. I’m excited about this because it has been a long time since I’ve been on the hunt for new talent.
The Resurrection of Serious Rogers tells the tale of the last days of a contract killer (Serious Rogers) as we (the viewer) eavesdrop on a conversation between a her former colleague and an obnoxious detective. Told in flashback, the story involves political conspiracy, a drug addicted FBI Agent, a pack of wild Hitwomen andan enigmatic underground kingpin known only as Mystery. It is an arthouse film provocatively told through noir filmic elements .
As a web series I’m excited to bring The Resurrection of Serious Rogers to everyone — for free. It will stream right here on this website. In the interim I am looking for potential sponsorships for the project including product placement opportunities.
