Moving Right Along With My Broken Heart…
2009 July 4
Below is a copy of an email I received from a distributor. Thankfully, even though my Internet service has been down I was still able to get the email on my iPhone and then by hijacking an unsecure broadband network.
Each time I read the information below, I smile. It is a welcomed bit of good news in what started out to be a horrible week.
Angelo,I just heard word that the president of [xxxxx] screened “Broken Hearts Club” while I was out, and just as I thought, said it is fantastic. I will be back in the office on Monday and would love to discuss at that time distributing your movie.Let me know what territories would be open and I can start gathering a plan together on what networks to contact. I would also love to try and get it picked up as a TV series, as we discussed previously. Our usual agreements are non-exclusive and are for five years; we split all revenue made at 70% producer and 30% Goliath. I believe I can get this movie placed/booked very quickly; I work with a network looking for movies of this genre currently and just became connected with HBO in Central Europe as well. I also have working relationships with acquisition directors for original programming with networks, that may be interested in this as a series.Let me know if this is something you are interested in and I will work on getting an agreement over to you to take a look at. Thank you so much for sending us a screener and for all of your efforts, time and consideration.Sincerely,Maureen
Needless to say I am excited about these possibilities. I believe BHC would make an exciting TV series, especially in this current atmosphere. We’ve got vampire shows, doctor shows, exiled doctor shows, cop shows — how about a love doctor show lol.
My fingers are crossed. Do me a favor and cross yours too =)

Fabulous news. I agree- it will make a great series! Fingers crossed…
I am pretty excited about the possibilities as well. I think BHC would make a great series as well…….certainly a lot of material to work with!!! Don’t forget, the doctor will need a “secretary”. LOL
Fingers crossed here too then
Congratulations!
