NEWS
I’ve been holding on to some potentially great news as I waited for things to play out. I don’t want to give myself or anyone false hope, so keep in mind that *until the money is in the bank* every thing I’m about to write is speculative: Ready? Here we go:
The sales agent who represents my film Broken Hearts Club saw the sneak preview of Resurrection of Serious Rogers and loves it. She’s a big fan. Moreover, she has access to money. She sees opportunities for Serious Rogers on cable television and has been working to get FUNDING for 7-13 half-hour episodes. That would mean PAID work for cast and crew — the ultimate goal for any web series!
Her company would then handle distribution. As I said, nothing is definite, however according to our last correspondence we are about 60 days away from getting funded. For how many episodes and for how much, I don’t know. In fact, it may not happen at all. That’s just how these things go. If it does happen, everything I’ve shot will be considered a two-part pilot episode and then we’ll shoot new episodes each month.
Fingers crossed, but feet stay grounded.
